Rain of Flowers (Ali-Akbar Sadeghi, 1972) <\/strong><\/p>\n

With its sketchy animation, its equally crude drawings and the absence of perspective reminiscent of Persian draperies, “Pluie de fleurs” (Rain of Flowers) <\/strong>is a pretty, almost childish reflection on the absurdity of war.<\/p>\n

The Tower<\/strong> (Ali-Akbar Sadeghi, 1974)<\/p>\n

This very inventive short film with very expressive designs is constructed as a beautiful mise en abyme of a chess game, a game whose name comes from\u2026 Persian.<\/p>\n

Union<\/strong> (Nazanin Sobhan Sarbandi, 1989)<\/p>\n

Both full of mischief and boasting colorful graphics, “Union” is a likeable tale that values \u200b\u200bmutual aid and pits lush, resourceful nature against greedy and evil man.<\/p>\n

The man and the cloud<\/strong> (Parviz Naderi, 1975)<\/p>\n

A cloud pursues a man who wants to get rid of it … A pretty and simple story like the drawings on cellulos.<\/p>\n

The grandmother with birds<\/strong> (Fatemeh Goudarzi, 2006)<\/p>\n

Combining drawings and painting, this initiatory tale full of humility and wisdom deals with intergenerational transmission with poetry. The whole is served by a simply sumptuous graphics.<\/p>\n

Roots in the Sky<\/strong> (Farkhondeh Torabi, 2006)<\/p>\n

Made in stop motion using sand and gravel, this short film evokes the difficulties of a young person growing up. Original, relevant and very optimistic.<\/p>\n

The dream<\/strong> (Ali-Reza Chita\u00ef, 2007)<\/p>\n

A sweet reverie, a sort of poetic digression of two peacocks separated from each other. Workmanship and designs are top notch.<\/p>\n

Formally very basic, “The apple tree” is a metaphor for the little ones about the importance of sharing and the harmful effects of lust.<\/p>\n
